Hello, I'm Sharayu.

I grew up in Mumbai, India and now live in Seattle, Washington — soon graduating from the Human Centered Design & Engineering program at the University of Washington.

Recently, I asked people from different phases of my life to describe me in a few words. The answers were surprisingly consistent: driven, introspective, meticulous.

That combination probably explains how I ended up in design.

Before design, I worked in engineering program management at Tata Motors (parent company of Jaguar Land Rover). Being close to product and design teams is where I first saw what thoughtful design decisions could do, and I didn't want to just watch it from the sidelines.

So I took a risk. I resigned, taught myself design, and pursued UX full-time.

My PM days strongly shape how I approach design: understanding business, thinking through technical constraints, and getting cross-functional alignment — ALL while driving user advocacy.

Recent work includes designing for Copart's 0→1 product launch targeting a $16B market, building enterprise and SaaS products at a high-ownership, fast-paced agency, Pineapple Design.

Outside of design, I draw comics. The ones shaped by self-awareness and dry humor.
